Smooth Rubber

This is the most common style of table tennis rubber. It can also be identified as “inverted” rubber. As the name states, the surface of the rubber is, in fact, smooth and is accompanied by some kind of sponge underneath it. Smooth rubber is used by well over 85% of professional players and usually provides the most spin amongst the 4 major types of rubbers. Whether you are an offensive, defensive, or all around player, smooth/inverted rubber can be used for all styles.
