Rubber Performance
Serve Performance
Our testing team fell in love with the serving capabilities Spin Mystic brought to their games. Whether top, flat, under, or side spin, they had fantastic results with placement as well as ball rotation. This rubber really shines with short underspin serves. The porus sponge also allowed them to put some incredible pace on their serves when required.
Topspin Performance
Spin Mystic was specifically designed for players that want astonishing amounts of topspin. Though this rubber and sponge combination was created for ball rotation, our testers found that it can still generate high speed and accurate ball placement on topspin shots.
Looping Performance
If you are a player that is confident in your looping ability, Spin Mystic will take your looping game to the next level. The complete confidence our testing team had in their loops was very noticeable. Even advanced angled loops consistently found the opponents side of the table.
Push Performance
Our testing team was most impressed with was the placement and control Spin Mystic brought to their pushing game. High spin focused rubbers can have the tendency to launch the ball off the table and lose control. The rubber sponge combo in Spin Mystic allowed our testing team to direct the ball in strategic locations accurately, while maintaining a great deal of underspin.
Chop Performance
Chopping with Spin Mystic might be difficult for Beginner to Intermediate players. It does have a bit of a learning curve if you do not know how to properly control and counter the spin of opposing players. Players that are Intermediate+ or higher will be able to return lethal amounts of underspin to their opponents with a properly executed chop.
Block Performance
Spin Mystic is perfect for using your opponents speed and spin against them. Because of the porous sponge composition, our testers found that, when angled correctly, typical defensive blocks quickly became offensive assets. In numerous cases our testing team found their blocks had the ability to shift the offensive/defensive dynamic of the point.
Flat Hit Performance
The Spin Mystic rubber and sponge combo was primarily developed to produce ample amounts of spin. Understandably, because of its composition, it does not excel at flat hits. Like all rubbers, our testing team did become familiar with the rubbers characteristics over time and were able to produce flat hits fairly consistently. That being said, this rubber would not be for players that primarily utilize flat hits in their game.
Flick Performance
Simply put, Spin Mystic can/should be used by players that deploy a great deal of backhand flicks. The rubber sponge combo allows the ball to sit on your blade for optimum table placement, spin, and power. Whether it is close to the net or behind the table, our testing team found Spin Mystic to be second to none when it came to offensive flicks.
Product Summary
Spin Mystic is made for players that want tremendous spin without surrendering speed or control. Players that love to play with backhand and forehand pushes will find that there is no place on the table this rubber and sponge combo cannot direct their ball. Spin Mystic brilliantly uses your opponent’s spin against them when blocking. Because of its porous sponge and rubber composition, Spin Mystic excels at Looping while still providing exceptional ball placement. Players will see remarkable spin and accuracy, not only in their rallies, but also in their service game.
This rubber is for players that love spin and want loads of it!

Our Testing Process
Here at CounterStrike Table Tennis, we take our testing process extremely seriously. Each product is reviewed by our testing team for a minimum of 10 weeks. They are studied in both game-like scenarios as well as relentlessly tested with a table tennis robot in order to ensure consistent results.
Our rubbers are primarily tested on a CounterStrike 5 ply (all wood) blade. This blade is rated for All-Around Players (ALL) in order to maintain consistency across all of our rubber testing. Depending on the rubber, our testing team will also test it with various other blades in order to understand how it will perform with different play styles.
CounterStrike does not believe in gimmicks or fake technology. Like our customers, we understand that no product can do it all. We take pride in breaking down every aspect you want to know about each of our products. We will tell you where our products are most proficient as well as what our products are not made for. We give you as much information as possible so that you can make the most informed decision possible. We definitely don’t want to ship you something that wouldn’t fit your game or play style.

Tons of spin and has really held up so far. I use rubber cleaner after every use, but am seeing no reduction in grip or spin.

I am a 1300 rated player. This rubber is very spiny but easy to control.
Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. We’re glad to hear that you find our Spin Mystic Rubber to be both spiny and easy to control. We strive to provide high-quality products for our customers and we’re happy to know that it has met your expectations. Keep up the great gameplay!
For comparison I have a blade with Rasanter R45 and another with Donic Bluestar A1, both of which provide a bit more spin and speed. I love both of those rubbers immensely, but they have one glaring problem: the price! They cost anywhere from $50 to $70 a sheet! I also had some old blades around that needed new rubber and I had read some great reviews of CouterStrike products on other websites so decided to give the Phantom Light paddle a try to see if it really was the value other reviews claimed it was. It did not disappoint. After that I decided to try Spin Mystic rubber on an Andro Gauzy BL7 that didn’t have any rubber on it. Boy was I impressed! So while I wouldn’t exactly call this top-tier professional grade rubber, I would say it’s about 85% there at less than 50% the price, which makes it one of the best (if not the best) rubber values on the market. I will be buying more when my recreational blades need new rubber.
Hey there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Spin Mystic Rubber. We’re thrilled to hear that you find it to be an awesome product at an affordable price. We understand the frustration of high-priced rubbers and we’re proud to offer a quality alternative without breaking the bank. Thank you for choosing Spin Mystic Rubber and we look forward to serving you again in the future!
Being a player on a budget, I have yet to find a rubber this good for the price. I have already ordered another sheet for my backhand. Great product.
That is fantastic to hear! Thanks for the review and let us know if you have any additional questions or need any additional support!
good spin and control. good for pushes. slow when hitting from more than 6 feet from table
Hey there! Thank you so much for the review! We really appreciate your kind words. Come on back soon!
I’m a newbie <1 year so I've not been able to get the spin! It most likely is my inability to execute the correct stroke. The four stars is because the extra spin just doesn't show up in my play. It's probably 25% faster than the Auto Pilot rubber so moving from that rubber on a 5 ply wood blade to the Spin Master on the same type blade has it's challenges in adjusting to the speedier Spin Master. I'll keep practicing with it and see what develops ,for now all I can get is the increased speed!
Hey there! Thank you so much for your review. You are correct, it typically takes a bit of time to get used to a faster spinnier rubber (including acquiring the feel and technique to get the most out of it). That being said, keep in touch as we are fairly confident you will get the most out of it as you continue to get reps in. Have a fantastic day and come on back soon!
Just beat my nemesis on the first time with the rubber.
That is amazing to hear!!! We are so happy to be a part of defeating your nemesis! There is nothing better in life than achieving a goal like that! Thank you so much for your review and come on back soon!
